Lewis wins another track meet

The Andrew Lewis track teams defeated Northside and Clifton Middle Schools last Wednesday at Salem High School.

The girls were led by double winners Kalei Memmer, Emma Chamberland, and Neelah Logan.  Kalei won the shot and discus, Neelah won the 100 and 200 and Emma won the 1600 and 800 meter run.

Also, Moriah Gahl won the 400 meter dash and Ayanni Haupt won the 300 meter hurdles.  Lina Prillaman, Kaitlyn Cregger, Paige Netting, Mary Robinson, Maya Makked, Tiffany McLaughlin, Emma Johnson and Christina Cummings were all on winning relays teams for the Wolverines.

The boys were led by double winner Amarri Edwards in the 100 meter dash and the High Jump.  Nathan Helems was the winner of the 800 meter run while Nash Lakin won the triple jump, Reggie Brown won the discus and the team of  Carlos Alleyne, Marco Medozza, Brayden Taylor and Walker Chambers were all part of winning relay teams.

The teams were in action again Wednesday of this week as they traveled to Vinton to take on William Byrd Middle School.
