The Salem High girls’ soccer team will take a 6-4 record and a three game winning streak to Cave Spring Friday for a River Ridge District game. The Spartans won twice on back-to-back days last week, defeating Lord Botetourt in Salem on Thursday and then beating Pulaski County in Dublin Friday.
Salem beat an always-tough LB team 2-1 as Ashlyn Adkins and Aly Price scored for the Spartans. Price and Abigail Pham had assists.
The Spartans had a big night of offense at Pulaski as they took an 11-2 win. Avery Mangus had two hat trick plus one, scoring seven goals on the night. She also had an assist to overshadow a four-goal game by Laikyn Funk, who had two assists. Emma Elder had two assists for the Spartans and Blair Bowers and Daniela Rugama had one each.
