The Roanoke College softball team was picked to finish fifth in the 2026 Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) softball pre-season poll, voted on by the league’s coaches.
Virginia Wesleyan University was picked first with 100 points and 10 first-place votes, followed by Bridgewater College (87 pts.), Randolph-Macon College (83), the University of Lynchburg (73) and the Maroons (67) in the 11-team conference.
The Maroons will open their season this Saturday at Greensboro College with a 1 pm doubleheader. The first home games are Saturday, February 21, when the Maroons host William Peace University for a doubleheader at the James I. Moyer Complex in Salem, beginning at 1 pm.
