Salem High graduates Jayden and Jorden McDonald, both freshman football players at Virginia Tech, signed three-year exclusive marketing representation agreements with Profuse Agency last week. Profuse Agency is a recent agency start-up by founder and CEO and President – J.T. Powell, and Chief of Strategy and Operations Dennis Haley, who is also a Salem High graduate and former Spartan football standout.

The agency will assist both athletes, who are twins, in maximizing their earnings potential while they remain student-athletes at Virginia Tech University.

“Specifically, we will assist in their brand development and utilize a variety of marketing strategies to help Jayden and Jorden find endorsement and sponsorship opportunities,” said Powell. “In addition, we will provide merchandise opportunities for both athletes through the Appalachia Prep Combine website.”

Haley went on to play football at the University of Virginia and also played professionally in the National Football League and the Canadian Football League.

“Dennis and myself have been able to create a relationship with the family of Jayden and Jorden through successful promotion of both athletes at the Appalachia Prep Combine,” said Powell. “Both were top performers at the 2020 event hosted at Mitchell Stadium in Bluefield, WV.”

The twins accumulated nine Division I offers within a two week period following the combine. Initially, they committed to the University of Louisiana-Monroe, but decided to de-commit and stay home after an offer from the Hokies.

“We are extremely excited about the marketability of both athletes and expect the fan base to take to them quickly,” said Powell.

The Virginia Tech fall preseason camp is scheduled to begin today.
