Wanda Price Phlegar, 82, of Salem, Va., passed away on February 23, 2026.

Born February 6, 1944, and married to her late loving husband, Richard Barry Phlegar. She was the youngest daughter of the late Ora B. Price and William Price.

Wanda was survived by her children, Lisa P. Cain (Gregory), Richard Gregory Phlegar, and Alan C. Phlegar (Adrianne); grandchildren, Maddie, Emma, Meagan, Hunter, Gus, and Evelyn; and one great-grandchild.

Wanda was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was very proud of her family. She graduated from Andrew Lewis High School and Virginia Western Community College and was employed by KPMG in Roanoke as an Administrative Assistant. She loved to sew, read, and craft needlework. She will be truly greatly missed.

A service will be held to honor Wanda’s life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 28, 2026, in the chapel of John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home & Crematory. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of the service. Interment will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park, 1250 E. Main Street in Salem, Va.
