Police Report: May 23, 2019

The Salem Police Department reported the following people were arrested and charged May 7-12. Arrest indicates an accusation and defendants are presumed innocent unless found guilty in court. Police do not release the names of persons under the age of 18.

Those arrested and their charges were listed as:

May 7 – Brett C. Simpson, 27, assault and battery, strangulation

May 8 – Keen J. Montgomery, 35, burglary; Aaron V. Terry, 18, shoplifting; Van J. Richardson II, 19, shoplifting, illegal possession of alcohol; Brent M. Humphrey, 41, public intoxication; Jonathan C. Gayler, 21, possession of marijuana, paraphernalia

May 9 – Autumn N. Miller, 27, contempt of court; Cynthia V. Mills, 26, shoplifting; Daniel J. Lowry, shoplifting

May 10 – Cierra R. Jones, 24, shoplifting; Thomas W. Erlywine Jr., 26, shoplifting; Victor C. Bradshaw, 42, disorderly conduct

May 11 – Joshua T. Fulcher, 28, violation of probation; Michael D. Mathena, 56, interdicted person; Brandon M. Beamer, 20, burglary

Mary 12 – Cory D. Akers, domestic assault and battery, strangulation; Tammy L. Jackson, 44, domestic assault and battery

Also reported were the following felonies:

May 7 – Strangulation of another, 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue

May 8 – Burglary, 2200 block of 12 O’clock Knob Road

May 9 – Property damage, 1200 block of Southside Drive

May 10 – Burglary, 0 block of Otter Avenue

May 12 – Strangulation of another, 400 block of Riverland Drive

May 13 – Burglary, 2200 block of 12 O’clock Knob Road
