Roanoke College winter sports are already underway and two teams will be in action this Saturday, the swim team and the wrestling team.
The Roanoke College swim team will host Lees-McRae this Saturday at the Salem YMCA. That will be the first home meet of the season after trips to Lexington for the ODAC Relays at Washington & Lee on October 8 and a meet at Bridgewater on the 15th.
The RC wrestling team will host the “Bast Center Battle” at the C. Homer Bast Center this Saturday. This is the second year of varsity competition for the Maroons.
The men’s basketball team will open on Friday, November 11th with the Mount Union Tournament in Alliance, Ohio. The first home game is Friday, November 18, as RC hosts the Frankie Allen Tip-Off Tournament. The Maroon women also open November 11 at Mary Baldwin, with their home opener on November 16 against Lynchburg.
The first indoor track action is December 9 and 10 when the Maroons host the Cregger Invitational at the Kerr-Cregger Indoor fieldhouse in Salem.
