The Roanoke College women’s soccer team fell in the first round of the ODAC tournament while the field hockey team was set to play Tuesday and the volleyball team will open next week.

The Maroon women dropped a 2-1 decision to host Shenandoah in the opening round of ODAC soccer play in Winchester. Rebecca Carr scored Roanoke’s only goal at the 64:50 mark after the Hornets opened a 2-0 lead at the half. Carr eluded her defender on the left side near the corner and fired a long shot just over the keeper’s grasp and into the back of the net. The Maroons had a few chances but couldn’t get the equalizer in the last 25 minutes. Roanoke ends the 2025 season 9-9-1 with a 6-4 mark in ODAC regular-season games.

The Maroon field hockey team was scheduled to open the ODAC tournament at W&L on Tuesday but results were too late for press deadlines. The conference volleyball tournament begins next Tuesday, November 11.
