The Roanoke College 4×100 relay team set a new program standard, while Brady Fowler tied his own school record in the individual 100m in a loaded field in the Vertklasse Meet at High Point University in North Carolina Saturday.

The 4×100 relay team of Fowler, Amari Carter, Drew Bitzer and Bryson Hill came in second overall with a school and ODAC-record mark of 40.86 seconds, finishing ahead of several Division I “A” teams. Their time currently ranks third in the country.

Fowler tied his own school record in the 100m, finishing fifth overall in 10.35 seconds. That time is currently the second-fastest in Division III this spring.

In the women’s meet RC’s Ophelia Ladner established a new Roanoke record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.00. She placed fifth in her section of the event, and her time ranks second in the ODAC and eighth in NCAA Division III.

Roanoke will compete in the Dennis Craddock Coaches Classic at the University of Lynchburg this weekend.
