The Roanoke College women’s lacrosse team defeated Bridgewater College, 16-4, in an ODAC game last Saturday at Kerr Stadium in Salem.

Roanoke took control early, going up 11-0 in the first half to distance themselves from the Eagles. Bridgewater scored first in the second half, but Roanoke kept the upper hand, going into the final 15 minutes with a 13-3 lead.

Grace Koutouzis led all scorers with five goals and two assists for seven points. Addison Widmer (2g, 2a), Sarah Brisson (1g, 2a), Zoe Blair (3a), Sydney Harrison (2g), and Raegan Becker (2g) also had multi-point games.

Kendall Todd and Amber Stallings played between the pipes for the Maroons. Todd recorded two saves in 22 minutes of play while Stallings had four saves in 38 minutes of action.

With the win the Maroons improved to 5-4 on the season and 2-1 in conference play. They were scheduled to host Ferrum in an ODAC game Wednesday followed by a trip to Ashland Saturday to meet Randolph-Macon.
