The Salem High girls’ lacrosse team evened their record at 1-1 with a 12-1 win over North Cross at Spartan Field last Thursday.
Mia Potter led the charge with four goals and an assist. Cameron Walsh and Rylee McNeill both had a three goal “hat tricks” for the Spartans and added an assist each. Anne Thomas had a goal and two assists and Vivienne Eaton also scored. Of the dozen goals for the Spartans seven were assisted.
Bailey Redford was solid in the goal for Salem with 12 saves. Bailey also led the team with four ground balls and caused four turnovers.
“We played a solid game against a much improved North Cross team,” said Salem coach Mary Schwartz. “The win was a total team effort at both ends of the field.”
The Spartans are off for spring break this week, returning April 3rd for a game at Jefferson Forest against a solid region foe.
