Roanoke College basketball teams in road tournaments

The Roanoke College basketball teams are on the road this week for pre-holiday tournaments.

The Maroon men will play in the Hampden-Sydney Tournament at Hampden-Sydney College. RC will play the University of Redlands on Friday at 5 pm and Wilson College on Saturday at 1 pm.

The Maroons are 5-2 and have not played since December 6. Roanoke will be home for the first time since November 15 when they host the Cregger Invitational on December 29 and 30.

The Roanoke women played in the Jamie Lynn Roberts Fairfield Inn DC Holiday Classic, hosted by Catholic University on Monday and Tuesday. The women took an 80-79 loss to Catholic University on Monday but bounced back to beat Principia College on Tuesday, 79-76. to even their record at 4-4.

The RC women are now off until December 29 when the Maroons host the Susan Dunagan Classic at the Cregger Center in Salem..
