The Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce Foundation is proud to announce the recipients of the 2017 student scholarships. The four students chosen were high school seniors from Roanoke County. Each student received a $1,000 scholarship to be used toward his or her college education. The scholarships are awarded based on career goals, strong work ethic, community involvement and financial need.
These scholarships are made possible by the overwhelming community support of Chamber events such as the Blue Ridge Kite Festival, Annual Classic Golf Tournament and the Kegs & Barrels Festival to name a few.
Current high school seniors in Roanoke County or Salem City who are interested in applying may visit the Salem-Roanoke County Chamber of Commerce website: (www.s-rcchamber.org). The application deadline is May 1, 2018.
