The Virginia High School League Class 4 All-State lacrosse teams have been released and Salem is well-represented, including senior Parker Dallas being named Class 4 Player of the Year.
Dallas, a 6’2″, 205-pound attackman, completed a brilliant lacrosse career with the Spartans by leading them to a state runner-up finish this season. Parker set a single-season points record for the Spartan boys’ lacrosse program with 113 points, which was tied for ninth in VHSL history. Dallas had 54 goals and 59 assists, which is seventh most in VHSL history. Over his career the Virginia Tech signee accumulated 225 points, 119 goals, and 106 assists.
Dallas is the first Salem boys’ lacrosse player to be named state Player of the Year and was recognized as a USA Lacrosse Academic All-American. He also earned Region 4D Player of the Year honors.
Joining Dallas on the first team All-Class 4 are senior goalie Richard Hof, senior defenders Carson Garland and Ronnie Frith, senior short stick defensive middie Oliver Farber and junior midfielder Wade Marble.
In girls’ lacrosse Salem had two girls named to the Class 4 All-State second team, Anne Craig Thomas on attack and Bailey Redford in the goal. Both are seniors.
