The Salem High soccer teams took on district rival Patrick Henry Tuesday night with mixed results. The girls took a 2-0 win at home while the boys dropped a 5-1 decision to the Patriots in Roanoke.
The girls got goals from Avery Mangus and Ashlyn Adkins in the win, both assisted b Aly Price. Combined with a 1-0 loss to Christiansburg at Spartan Field last Friday the girls are now 4-4.
The boys have now lost four in a row after opening the season with four wins. Salem lost at Christiansburg last Friday, 4-2.
Both teams will play Lord Botetourt tonight in non-district games, with the girls at Spartan Field and the boys in Daleville. On Friday the boys are back home to host Pulaski and the girls will play the Cougars in Dublin.
