The Salem High girls evened their soccer record at 4-4-1 with an 11-0 rout over Pulaski County at Spartan Field Tuesday. It was Salem’s first district win after four losses in the strong River Ridge.
Last Friday the girls hosted Patrick Henry in the first game of a doubleheader with the boys and dropped a 4-3 decision. Laikyn Funk had two goals for Salem and Aly Price had the other.
Salem was scheduled to be back home to host Liberty Christian Academy in a non-district tilt on Wednesday of this week. Then they’re off until next Tuesday when Cave Spring comes here for a district game on the Salem pitch.
