The Salem High volleyball team remained unbeaten after two matches with a three set win over Northside last Thursday. The Spartans won the home match 25-19, 25-13 and 25-11.
Salem had some strong serving in the match as Macy Gibson had six aces and Emory Coe had four. Gabby Crawley led in kills with 10 and Kourtney Goens had six.
Salem was scheduled to play at Roanoke Catholic on Tuesday but results were too late for early Labor Day deadlines. This Saturday the Spartans will host Magna Vista, Alleghany and William Byrd with matches at 10 am, 11 am and 1:30 pm. There will also be jayvee games at Andrew Lewis Middle School.
