The James I. Moyer Complex in Salem will be the site for the second annual Hokie Invite softball event this week. The tournament runs from Thursday, March 5, to Sunday, March 8.
The Hokie Invite will include Boston College, Bryant, James Madison, Michigan, Penn State, Radford and Virginia Tech. Games will be played beginning at 4 p.m. Thursday with Boston College against Michigan, followed by Virginia Tech against Michigan at 6:30 p.m.
On Friday games start at 10 a.m. and continue through the day with the last matchups scheduled for 6 p.m.when Tech goes up against JMU on one field and Boston College plays Penn State on an adjoining diamond.
On Saturday games begin at 10:30 a.m. Tech will meet Penn State at 3:30 p.m. And then play Radford at 6 p.m. in the last game of the day.
The Invite concludes with two games at 11 a.m. on Sunday. Tech will play Bryant and James Madison goes up against Radford.
Admission is $10 per day. Softball fans under 18 and over 65 can get in for $5.
