The Andrew Lewis Middle School girls finished their season last week while Glenvar Middle still has a few games to play.
Sept. 21, Lewis defeated Northside in two sets, 25-10 and 28-26. Then, a day later, they defeated Cave Spring in three. Lewis won the first set, 25-18, but lost the second by the same score. In the third set to 15 the Wolverines scored 12 of the last 14 points for a thrilling 15-13 final to end the season.
“One of the best seasons yet,” said coach Kim Crist.
Glenvar defeated Shawsville in two sets last Wednesday and dropped a three-setter to Floyd at Glenvar Middle School Tuesday. The Highlanders were scheduled to host Central Academy next Monday, Oct. 5.
