The Andrew Lewis Middle School volleyball team wrapped up their season last week while the Glenvar middle schoolers keep winning.
Glenvar is now 12-1 after picking up two more wins in the past week. Last Thursday Glenvar beat Christiansburg in two sets, 25-18 and 25-22, and on Monday in Blacksburg the Highlanders won 25-23 and 25-20. Glenvar has three road games left on the schedule, Wednesday of this week at Central Academy, tonight at Ben Franklin Middle and next Tuesday, October 11, at Radford.
Lewis completed their season last week with a two set victory over Cave Spring, 25-15 and 25-18. The Wolverines were down 17-10 in the second set but went on a 15-1 run to close out the win and finish the season at 9-6.
“We’ll miss our 12 eighth graders we had and are grateful for our captains, Emory Coe and Karis Guy,” said coach Perry Manning.
