Thomas Edwin LeNeave, 91, of Salem, Virginia, passed through the veil of this life, April 9, 2026. Mr. LeNeave was born near Smithfield, NC, December 1, 1934, and moved to Norfolk, Virginia, when he was 10 years old. He lived there most of his life. Mr. LeNeave retired at the age of 62 in 1996 as Vice President and Plant Manager of Dixie Manufacturing Company in Norfolk, VA. After retiring, Mr. LeNeave worked part-time for the company another 3 years, making a total of 44 years of service at Dixie Manufacturing Company. Mr. LeNeave wants to be remembered as a person who was always generous with his time to help others in need.

Mr. LeNeave was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Henry LeNeave and Fannie B. Johnson LeNeave; his two brothers, Leon Taft Dupree and Roy Gray LeNeave.

Mr. LeNeave is survived by his wonderful wife, Edna (Toni) Kimmons LeNeave of Salem, VA; two daughters, Debra (LeNeave) Farnworth (husband Steve) of Roanoke, VA, and Jennifer (LeNeave) Peterson (husband Mark) of Waukee, IA; three sons, Thomas R. LeNeave (wife Ida) of Hardy, VA, Roy W. LeNeave (wife Billie) of Salem, VA, and Ted A. LeNeave (wife Crista) of Waukee, IA; two sisters, A. Joyce LeNeave Fenton of Norfolk, VA, and F. Faye LeNeave Avery of Gary, NC; 23 grandchildren, 58 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held April 18, 2026, at 11am at The Altmeyer Funeral Home at 1801 Baltic Avenue, Virginia Beach, VA 23451. Family will be honored to receive visitors and friends one hour before the service. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn Cemetery on Granby Street, Norfolk, VA.
