The Roanoke College men’s lacrosse team was scheduled to wrap up the regular season on Wednesday with a big game against visiting Washington & Lee. Results were too late for publication, but the Maroons came into the game at 12-4 overall and 8-1 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference while W&L was 12-3 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

Roanoke’s only conference loss was to the University of Lynchburg, who comes into the week at 7-1, and the Hornets only loss was to W&L. So, if the Maroons could pull off a win over the Generals this week it will likely result in a three-way tie at the top with the ODAC tournament, which is scheduled to begin next week.

Last Saturday at Kerr Stadium in Salem the Maroons scored the most goals in a single game since the 1993 season Saturday in a 35-8 victory over Virginia Wesleyan University on Senior Day. The goal total was the second highest in program history, the most came in 1993 when the Maroons scored 40 against Virginia Wesleyan.

Luke Kammerman had three goals and two assists to surpass 400 points for his career, and now has 401, moving into the NCAA D3 all-time top 10.

Luca Docking and Griffin Dabbs each had four goals and an assist, while Dell Vidunas had four tallies. Wyatt Whitlow and Aidan Landgraf had two goals and three assists apiece and Jack Savoie had a three goal hat trick.
