McKenzie Pulliam had four hits as the Glenvar softball team won a slugfest over Alleghany on Tuesday. Glenvar took a 13-11 win at GHS.

Pulliam had eight total bases with a single, two doubles and a triple. She scored four times and drove in five runners. Katherine Ward had two hits and drove in three runs.

McKenna Shearer and Courtney Raines split time on the mound for the Highlanders. Shearer, who recently returned from an injury, pitched the first three innings and Raines pitched the last four and picked up the win. Courtney is 4-0 on the mound this season.

With the win Glenvar improved to 4-1 on the season. The Highlanders were at Carroll County on Wednesday and they’ll be at Floyd on Friday. Both are Three Rivers District games.
