SHS golfers top Glenvar at “Rock”

The Salem and Glenvar golfers went head to head in a match at the Hanging Rock Golf Club last week along with Staunton River. Salem won the match with a 303, followed by Glenvar at 356 and Staunton River at 407.
Medalist for the match was Salem’s Taylor Davis with a 70. Trey Joyce was next at 76, followed by Macy Johnson with 77 and Trace Monroe at 80.
Mason Hylton led Glenvar with a 78. Jacson Shepherd had an 89, Adam Harvey shot 94 and Jay Roberts shot 95.
The Spartans were back in action Tuesday with a match at the Hidden Valley Country Club. Next Tuesday, September 13, Salem has a River Ridge District match at the Blacksburg Country Club.
Glenvar will play their next two matches at the Botetourt Golf & Swim Club, today and Monday at 1 pm.
