The Roanoke College women’s lacrosse team dropped a 15-9 decision to Randolph-Macon in an Alumni Weekend game at Salem’s Kerr Stadium last Saturday. With the loss the Maroons fell to 3-2 in the conference and 5-8 overall.
Randolph-Macon had two goal advantages in the first and third quarters. While RC was able to go blow for blow in the second and fourth quarters, they couldn’t find a way to erase the deficit.
Zoe Blair and Maddie McDonald spearheaded the attack for Roanoke with four points each. Blair had four goals while McDonald posted a hat trick with an assist. Sarah Brisson had a pair of points on a goal and a helper. Goalie Kendall Todd made six saves in the game.
The Maroons were scheduled to play at Randolph College on Wednesday. On Saturday they’re at Bridgewater college for a noon game, returning Sunday to host Sewanee at noon at RC’s Kerr Stadium.
