Kyah Yeoman of Salem has been elected to membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi at Radford University.
Phi Kappa Phi is the nation’s oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Yeoman is among approximately 20,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni initiated into the society each year.
Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a local chapter. Eligibility is limited to the top 10% of seniors and 7.5% of juniors. Graduate students in the top 10% of degree candidates may also qualify, along with faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
Founded in 1897 by undergraduate student Marcus L. Urann, the society was created to recognize academic excellence across all disciplines. Today, Phi Kappa Phi has chapters on more than 300 campuses across the United States and its territories and promotes a mission to cultivate a community that celebrates and advances the love of learning.
